Every laser journey starts with a consult and patch test, carried out at least 24 hours before your first treatment, so we treat you safely.
LASER HAIR REMOVAL AFTERCARE
Thank you for choosing Urban Glow for your laser hair removal treatment. We know that sometimes aftercare can be hard to remember so here’s what you need to know:
- No strenuous exercise for 24 hours after the treatment or until any redness has cleared
- Use only cool or lukewarm water on the area for 48 hours after treatment
- Avoid lotions with perfumes and fragrances for 48 hours after treatment
- Avoid tanning lotions for several days
- Apply only aftercare aloe vera gel to the area for 72 hours post treatment
- Avoid body scrubs and exfoliation for 72 hours after treatment
- Wait until redness, swelling, and itching are gone to shave again. We encourage 72 hours after any laser treatment
- Avoid swimming for 72 hours after treatment
- Apply 30+ SPF sunscreen daily and avoid sun exposure for several days
- No waxing, plucking or depilatory creams
- Avoid cosmetic treatments in the treated area for two (2) weeks
Possible Reactions After Treatment
Skin reactions can take place after the treatment, there may be:
- Redness
- Tenderness, similar to a mild sunburn Hive type reaction
- Mild swelling
Remember to wear loose fitting clothing on treatment day. Skin reactions are common and should clear within 72 hours however if you have any concerns please give the salon a call on 0498 550 299.
Hair will begin to shed one week post treatment but please wait at least four weeks until your next. Sessions need to be spaced four to six weeks apart for optimal results.
